We have downsized the clinic to an upstairs space offering part time Physiotherapy treatment and Clinical Pilates Classes.

Kate Bryce is working part-time and training for Kona World Ironman Champs in October. Liz Edlin works at Physioevolved Monday 3-7:30pm and at her home clinic on the other days, she can be contacted on runfixnz@gmail.com. Allie Le Lievre is on maternity leave.  We do not have an online booking service. To book a physiotherapy appointment please either text 0278658333 or email admin@physioevolved.co.nz

Our name, Physio Evolved describes our approach to treatment. We aim to continuously evolve our thinking, our methodology and our techniques, as we better understand the human body and as ideas are proven in practice.

We offer the best possible physiotherapy and Pilates solutions we can, so you can regain strength, balance, alignment and flexibility.

History

Physio Evolved was created by Stu and Kate Bryce in 2009 and has evolved over the years to become a physiotherapy clinic and a recovery space. Our goal is to support people with behaviour change strategies to make long term positive change, to overcome injury and persistent pain. Kate has a special interest in hip and knee Osteoarthritis and is starting a PhD journey to improve the treatment and education for people suffering from osteoarthritis of the hip and knee in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Kate Bryce (nee Bonner) is the senior physiotherapist and Clinical Director at Physio Evolved. She has over 20 years experience, has a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Medicine and a Masters in Health Science specialising in the treatment of chronic pain using Pilates rehabilitation. Kate is also an advanced practitioner in GEMT trigger point dry needling.

Kate uses an extensive range of treatment techniques based on up-to-date and continuously evolving research to ensure clients are prescribed effective and appropriate treatment programs and enjoys the combination of hands on therapies such as myofascial release, manipulation, trigger point dry needling and massage, with Exercise rehabilitation.

Kate is a mother to two beautiful girls, and enjoys participating in triathlon, half marathons, mountain biking and skiing. In 2020 she did her first ironman in Taupo and has signed up again for 2022. This years goal is Kona Ironman World Champs in Hawaii!

Liz Edlin

Physiotherapist - Liz works Monday's at Physioevolved

Liz has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago and has 18 years of experience working in private practice in Christchurch, London & Melbourne.  She has completed Clinical Pilates training with DMA, further study in strength and conditioning and attended many courses, lectures and conferences presented by world leading researchers and Physiotherapists.  Since becoming a mother,  Liz has commenced further study in women’s health through the life stages.

Being a keen runner and qualified running coach, Liz has a special interest in treating runners, triathletes and lower limb injuries.  She utilises a combination of manual therapy, movement analysis and retraining, exercise rehabilitation, education and collaboration with her clients to ensure an optimal recovery from injury.

When Liz is not in the clinic she can be found running the trails and pavements, baking or being ordered around by her two year old daughter.  In 2021, Liz plans to complete her first half marathon since becoming a Mum.

Liz believes that biomechanics and correct movement patterns are key for optimal musculosketetal health.

Allie Le Lievre

Physiotherapist - Allie works Thursdays at Physioevolved

Allie qualified from AUT with a BHs Physiotherapy in 2012. She has since worked in Musculoskeletal private practice both in New Zealand and London. She has also worked with International Rugby and Netball and Cheerleading teams during this time.
She completed her post graduate studies in APPI Clinical Pilates in 2016 and Advanced Dry needling Acupuncture training in 2020. She has utilised her specialist training to diagnose, treat and cure a vast spectrum of clients. These include elite sports people, youth athletes, post operative clients (particularly spinal and knee) and of course your classic '8 hours at a desk' clients. Good posture is the foundation!

If you do have an existing ACC claim and have been seeing another Physio, you can still choose to come here. If you are uncertain whether or not your injury can be claimed under ACC, please call reception for details.
