A chartered Physiotherapist in both the UK and New Zealand, Kate has a degree in Physiotherapy, a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Medicine and a Masters in Health Science (specialising in the treatment of Chronic Pain using Pilates rehabilitation).

Kate has worked in one of the UK's leading Chronic Pain Clinics, where she was personally trained by internationally acclaimed Pain Specialist, and expert Medical Author, Dr Paul Sherwood. It was here that Kate learnt world-renowned techniques in treating back and neck pain, migraines, chronic fatigue, lymphatic dysfunction, and joint injuries.

Kate has a reputation in the field of exercise-based rehabilitation, specialising in Clinical Pilates. Prior to working with Dr Paul Sherwood in central London, Kate ran a dedicated Clinical Pilates studio in Dunedin for Back in Motion physiotherapy and Pilates. Kate also developed and ran Pilates education courses around New Zealand for Back in Motion.

Kate's Masters of Health Science, completed in 2006 looked at the topic of;

"Motivational Factors influencing the Adoption of and Adherence to Clinical Pilates Rehabilitation when used for chronic injury."

Kate is also a lecturer in Pilates, a physiotherapist to New Zealand Surf Life Saving team and has a host of other sports physiotherapy appointments.

Kate uses an extensive range of treatment techniques based on up-to-date and continuously evolving research to ensure clients are prescribed effective and appropriate treatment programs.
